Missing a Great Opportunity......

My heart breaks, at the fact that I am still in the states. My original plan was to be back in India for the month of January!! little did I know all that the devil was going to do to keep that from coming to pass. I miss the kids so much, as I look every day at the pictures and all that I have that reminds me of that life changing journey it increases my hunger and desire to go there even more. Some days I would love just to pack up my bags and go there for good, but that would be my will not God's. I envy those pastors that I know have scheduled time to go minister this year and all of my plans have been put on hold....I am asking that you continue to pray for our pastors and the children we support and due all that you can to provide for them all that they need. We need to focus on not only keeping up with our monthly support but we need to get about the business of raising the money to get our orphanage built quickly!!! every day we delay the children that we love and support live in conditions that you and I would not want to live in... Please continue to pray on what God would have you to do to help this great cause...

"In Search of the Light"

Stepping out into darkness,
in the middle of the night,
looking every where,
in search of the Light.

Grouping around in a sea of darkness,
something was amiss,
the absence of the light,
had created such an abyss.

Every lamp we beheld,
had a wick, but no oil,
some how the prince of darkness,
had managed to spoil.

As darkness did spread,
extinguishing the light,
it seems all hope was lost,
leaving no strength to fight.

Was our search in vain,
had the prince of darkness put out the light,
stealing the oil,
had he won the fight?

But then that moment came,
we were surrounded by the light,
the prince had not won,
the Son was still in the fight.

Our hearts filled with joy,
basking in that great light,
dispelling the darkness,
as Hope pushed through the fight.

It had not been in vain,
our search for the light,
in the sea of darkness,
the Light still shinning bright.

Greetings From Pastor Moses and Pastor Babu.....

Hello friends,it has been a while since I sat down and took a moment to tell you what is going on in India.

Shortly after leaving there in January, we received word that Pastor Moses wife was carrying their first child, we were so excited since they had informed us that they had been believing for a child for a long time. Three months into the pregnancy we received word that Sister Moses had been diagnosed with Hepatitis A and that she had lost the baby, Our hearts were broken at this news and we ask that you hold the entire family up in prayer.

We stay in contact with the children's home and all is going well, please continue to support and to pray about what God would have you to do to be a blessing to the great people of India.

Our plans for the next year are that we will be taking another trip to India, and we will be taking a team of ten people with us. We are also working on raising 40,000 US dollars to buy land and build a new orphanage, Please pray about what God would have you to do.

I will keep you informed, God bless all of you.

On our way home to America........

Greetings friends, and family in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is Thursday about 9:00 pm we are making our way to Delhi International airport to begin our long but much anticipated journey home. I know that most of you have been waiting for me to put more pictures but we have not had the availability to use the Internet or to post anything to the blog. I have written a couple of the blogs but have not been able to post them, yet I will get it all caught up when I get home. The truth is when you read this one I will already be home, I am writing it now but can not post it. It has been a long but very prosperous journey and we have grown a lot in the Lord.
When we get to the airport we will have to sit there for three to five hours depending on the security, the flights will be long but we are ready to get home.
I will look forward to being with and seeing you on Sunday. I will post a final blog to recap all that was done in the month we have been gone after I get home.

Hello Friends........

It has been many days since we were able to talk with you, we were sadden that we did not get to do a video conference with you on Sunday, but that is the way it goes sometimes.
All has been going well as we draw closer to coming home the more we are trying to get wrapped up here, we have preached about five times since Sunday and have seen many make decisions for Christ, Praise the Lord!!! Since in Agra we have seen the Taj Mahal , and several palaces. Pastor Patel took us on a quest to find a cobra the other day, but it was not meant to be how ever on the way home from that search we turned a corner and there was a huge elephant standing there are first real sign of India’s wildlife. Pastor got out and asked if they would give us a ride and they did it was pretty cool, we have pictures I will post them as soon as I can. Later on in the same day while visiting one of the palaces, we got to feed the monkeys and they sat on our shoulders while they ate. All of this is in-between ministry times.
Today which is Wednesday we will travel further north to New Delhi drawing us closer to the end of our great Journey, we will minister a couple of times there and then head to the airport about ten pm on Thursday to await our leaving time of one am on Friday to begin our twenty hour flight home.
We are looking forward to seeing you all, on Sunday God bless you all.

Yes we are still alive..... In Agra Now

Yes we are still alive,I know I have not posted in several days we left and were on a train 24 hours as we traveled north to Agra, we have made it safely here and Preached today had about 400 people in attendance at Pastor Patel's church and about 150 on the altar, Praise the Lord. Tonight we will be preaching a message I have preached at home do you really want a miracle and according to the Lords direction we will be praying for the barren, Please pray. I only have limited access to the Internet so I can not get caught up on all, and I can not post any pictures, I will get caught up as soon as I can.

I just wanted to take the minute that I had to let you know we are doing well, we will be home at the end of the week, Keep praying for God to move in a mighty way.

Tuesday January 20th.........(this post has been updated)

It is nearing the time to come back home to you all, but we can not focus on that there is still much to do in the mighty name of Jesus.....

Today we will minister about three times, and are expecting God to do great things.
As if He can do any thing other than great things.

We traveled to some villages to preach and pray, we also visited another children's home that is not one of ours and shared the love of Jesus with them, we were not happy when our day got cut short, Pastor Moses was sick, so we called it an early day and went home to prepare for the night crusade.

In the night service we preached and God moved in a mighty way many were saved and healed as they trusted that Jesus was the answer to all that they needed.

Glory to be God!!!!!

This was our final service in Southern India, After I preached they were not ready for it all to be over, then they had Tim preach, and then they wanted to sing some more with us, they also had the youth of there village due some christian dances for us. It was His Steps India style. It was so amazing that the Love of God had surpassed all barriers and these people had fallen in love with us and did not want us to leave. It only added to the heart break.

God NEVER stops AMAZING me!!!!!!

The Little Feet..........

I for many years have stated that one of the greatest blessing's God has given to the church, is when Jesus as our example washed the disciples feet. The Bible says that after supper being ended that Jesus took of his robe covered himself in a towel, and knelt down in front of His disciples. Picture it, the creator bowing before His creation, what a picture of humility and love.... Some of the greatest blessing's and outpouring of the Spirit I have witnessed in my thirty five years of christian faith have been and occurred during foot washing, I was about to learn I had only experienced a little bit of what God has to offer. Three days before it was time to leave God told me that Tim and I were to wash the children's feet and share with them the Lord's Supper before we left them, I agreed with the Lord what a way to really show that we love them, it is one thing to say I love you, and another to buy some gifts as a token of love, but it is a whole other dimension to kneel and wash some ones feet, but that's where the love of God led us. I knew the experience would be life changing for all involved, how did I know that because, I know the God that we serve. He does not just randomly throw things out there for us to do for no reason. In fact He said He always sends His word forth to accomplish something and it NEVER RETURNS VOID!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! It started with us having a little bit of worship, the children love to sing. Then It moved into time to share with them the story of what Jesus had done for the whole world by His sacrifice and what He did for His disciples that night before the cross. As I shared the story of the love of Jesus their eyes were fixed and there hearts were open I could see that the spirit of God was reaching way down in and doing something in each and every one of them. Then the moment of truth came I asked them to examine their hearts and see if they really new Jesus, and then we led them in the sinners prayer, about 25-30 gave their lives to the Lord that night, I was on cloud nine, as the tears began to flow, I could feel the spirit descend down in a soft but a powerful way, only heaven could have expected the blessings that were about to manifest themselves in that dirty hot room in southern India. The tears and the blessing's began to flow as I moved from child to child and offered them the bread, " this is the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, which was broken for you and I that we might receive salvation and be made whole" not only was I crying, but many of them were also as the Spirit touched them for the first time. Then came the cup " this is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ shed for the remission of sin, not just for mine and yours but the sin of the whole world, Jesus said as often as you drink this do it in remembrance of me." What an honor God had given me, to administer these children's first Lord's Supper and to experience with them there first tangible touch and anointing of the Spirit. Then it came time for me to serve Tim, Pastor Babu, Pastor Moses, Sister Martha, Sister Inga. What a blessing I received as moved amongst these servants of God, and were able to serve them, what a privilege it was to serve brother Tim, it was my honor to work with him and serve him it is something like I have never experienced or will experience again. Thank You Lord!!!! Then it came time to wash feet, just when I thought the blessing of God had some how reached it's climax, the glory fell again, and again as we moved from child to child asking them if we could wash their feet letting them know it was our honor to serve them, there was not a dry eye in the house. Tim and I were crying the children were crying as the power of God swept over them, it was glorious. Then it came time to wash Tim's feet I cried and I cried as I realized what a blessing it was, and how God had led us there together according to His great plan, this man of God had come all this way not to be in the lime light, not to preach, not to do anything other than obey God, Thank you for that Lord. Then we knelt before Pastor Babu, we would learn later that night, that after 40 years of being in the ministry He had never been involved in washing of the saints feet. Wow!!! God really let him have it the first time, when his feet hit the water the power of God hit him so hard it was all me and Tim could do to keep his feet in the water and him in his seat. This was a service I will never forget......I praise the Lord for allowing me to be there.

Monday January 19th..........

Today we preached a total of three times we visited some slum areas to minister in the mighty name of Jesus we saw about thirty people saved during the day praise the Lord!!! HE IS SO MIGHTY.....I never get over the excitement of seeing people saved.

In the night we traveled a couple of hours and preached in a village the closest thing to a jungle village we have been to no pavement I was surprised. we had good worship and I preached on the story from acts 3 about thirty people came to the Lord that night and we prayed for about 200 people, in total we laid hands on about 350 people that day and prayed for them one by one, cant wait to hear about what God has done.

The Lords Day.........

Today we went to the Leper colony and also to prison, It was an experience. My heart broke as we entered into the leper colony I never imagined that there would be children in a leper colony but there was, it was very heart breaking.

We preached the gospel and the love of Jesus to them and when we were finished several gave their lives to Jesus, God gave us the opportunity to love on them and pray for their healing, we also gave out several bags of rice.

Next we went to the prison I thought they were going to keep Tim. He must have the look of a criminal. The Govt. would not allow us to preach there, but they did allow us to pray for the prisoners and hand out food, so as we prayed and it was being interpreted I prayed their minds and hearts would be open to Jesus and they would know that Jesus loves them, and they would receive him. Praise the Lord.

Sunday evening we took the children on a five hour journey, to the circus they really had a great time, I will post a couple of pictures from the circus later.

It was good to see you all tonight our time morning your time keep praying thanks for the song.

Today we preached the gospel in a night time meeting in a village we had to travel about an hour to get to. the local pastor was very gracious, we also preached and delivered food to some a slum area were God saved several people all in all we saw about 30 people saved today and prayed for about three hundred people I love all that God is doing and allowing us to be apart of He is an awesome God.
I cannot wait till Sunday to hear you guys sing I'll fly away I wish I could stay on line and hear the preaching of the word. I am very spiritually hungry!!!!!!! Please Pray. So far we have preached about 15 times and preached and taught 8 one hour sessions at the Pastors conferences. WE have seen hundreds saved and prayed for thousands, we have visited thousands of homes and witnessed where ever we go, walked many miles and rode many more to the glory of God.

Tonight we had another crusade over a hundred people were in attendance, the spirit was felt very mighty and I preached on the greatest story ever told many were saved and many renewed their commitment to God, close to thirty first time converts Praise the Lord...... Then we laid hands on all that were present some for healing others just seeking the direction of the Lord for the life. Keep praying God is working.

Good evening in America.....

Hello my friends I hope and trust that you all have had a wonderful day. I hear it is very cold there, I hate to tell you it is a nice 85 degree's here in India. Today we took the children on a two hour walk and a boat ride on the river it was quiet an experience I wondered as we stepped onto this boat if it was river worthy and then as we went the children had to bail water out of the boat what an experience, but they loved every minute of it. They all have asked me to send their greetings to you and they want you to know how much they appreciate all that we do for them. To those of you who made this trip happen with financial support to me and tim the Lord is going to reward you greatly!!!!!! When evening came it was time to go preach. We traveled by car about an hour and arrived in a village where we were greeted by the local pastor, even though I was sick ( something I ate) God gave us the strength to preach and pray for the people aroung 30 people gave their lives to the Lord we give God all of the Praise honor and Glory!!!!!!! Christmas with the children.....

Today we spent the day shoping and then had the honor of presenting much needed presents to the children, who never receive toys, it was wonderful. In the name of Jesus we handed out the following and then enjoyed the blessing of watching them smile the rest of the day.

30 Brand new outfits
10 Cricket sets
10 Soccer balls
10 Batmitten sets
8 Jump ropes
4 Ring toss games
20 Brand new belts boys.
20 sets of bracelets
20 bottles of finger nail polish
20 neklaces
20 pairs of earings
35 tooth brushes ( they were using sticks)
20 brand new blankets
1 Brand new outfit for Mrs. Babu
1 Brand new outfit for Inga Babu
1 Brand New washer, they were washing on a rock. Praise the Lord.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!!!!!!!!

Day in the Jungle.........

Today we spent the day in the jungle ministering to thousands of people it was an awesome day. I would say up to this point other than coming to Bethany Children's Home this was the best day. Every were we went every jungle tribal village we visited hundreds would flock out of the homes to follow us to see and hear what we had to say, we preached five times and prayed for over a thousand people, it was awesome I stand in awe and amazement still that God chose a nobody like me to be apart of this great work... Praise His Holy Name. At the end of the day we had seen 50 people come to know Jesus as Savior and hundreds encouraged and touched by the Lord.

One man we were taken to did not have the strength to get up he was so sick, when we finished praying for him God touched him and he walked us to the car it was amazing.

We met with the main Ruler over all of the tribes we were going to minister to his family has been in rule for thousands of years, he was not a christian but still desired our prayers for him and his family, as always I prayed God would open his mind to the receiving of Jesus Christ.

What a day what a day ...... Praise the Lord.

Good morning to you from the great Land of India, I know it has been a few days but our schedule has been extremely busy, and on top of that we do not have access to the Internet all of the time were we are at now. Yesterday we had a full day of ministering to many local pastors and bible women, we spent about six hours with them teaching and preaching and praising the Lord. We prayed for them and all of their ministries some came in from the community seeking the Lords touch for their bodies...

Today we will travel many hours to the jungles of India to preach and brother Tim will be giving a lesson to the people tonight we will travel back for another meeting closer to town. God is doing many wonderful things and I am honored to be apart of all he is doing.

We love staying at Bethany childrens home we are always close to the kids, they have played none stop since we have been here, it makes you wonder what they did with their time without toys, Thank you Jesus for providing the money for toys.

The children love to be loved, it is heart breaking I wonder how much physical touch they get, yesterday I spent about three hours holding and praying for a little boy who was burning up with a fever, it makes me wonder what would happen if we were not here?

Many questions few answers, I just know God has brought Tim and I here for a great reason. Some times the blessing is overwhelming and some times the pain in our hearts is overwhelming, I often wonder if the exhausten at the end of the day is not more emotional than physical.

please join me in praying before we leave Tim and I have felt impressed by the Spirit of God that we are to by a motorcycle for Pastor Andrew who now has to walk hundreds of miles a month to do God's work 500-1000 us dollars will by a brand new motorcycle in India, Please pray about helping us do that before we leave, if you are willing to give give the money to eddie and have him let me know we only have 10 days to get this done.

Over 100 Saved Second Crusade.....Praise the Lord

I know it has been several days since I posted we have been going from sun up till sun down, the other day I was so emotionally upset I could not even talk about it. It breaks my heart to see all of these people living and hurting in such poverty. I remind you again we have so much to thank the Lord for.... Make sure you thank HIM!!!!!! After our first meeting was downsized to a private meeting because of security issues, still two got saved praise the Lord. Our second meeting was great several Hundred in attendance and even though all did not come into the meeting there were people standing outside in the doorways sitting on the trees listening to what we were preaching about Jesus. when the invitation was given we had over a hundred respond and ask Jesus to save them. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!! Then we prayed for the sick and needy and laid hands on several hundred people. Yesterday we travelled further south about 8 hours by car to pastor moses parents home what a joy to finally spend quality time with the children I will post pictures later where we are now the connection is dial up so i can not use my lap top. The children are the only bright spot that India has every where you look all you see is ugliness and hopelessness but in the face of the children I see the hope of Christ. Today which is now Sunday our time we will preach at Pastor Babu's church and spend more time with the children. Up to this point I have not talked about the first visit to the childrens home in Hyderabad, it was not good when we showed up there with the gifts for the children we went into this small 10x10 room in a 3 floor apartment complex the children came in then hundreds of people from the streets came piling in hitting and yelling they wanted toys for their children. My heart was broken I could not help but spend the rest of the day crying over what had happened. no we were not afraid for us but I felt upset we did not get to see the children play with their toys and then for mothers and babies to be crying because they wanted toys was to much for this preachers emotions. We love you guys keep praying, I will still do a call to the church in the morning it just will not be that good of quality. In His service to India Pastor and Tim.

It is nine oclock in hyderabad we have just finished our day. We had a wonderful day with the pastor's God really blessed. when we got to the village you would have thought Tim and I were celebrities, within a few seconds of getting out of the car we were surounded by children it was amazing. Good morning it is about 5 am local time in hyderabad India, we have just had our first shower since we have been here. It consisted of a bucket of hot water and a hole in the floor. I will spare you the details. We are heading out to due our first meeting please pray for us as we travel. Also pray God will use us. Yesterday we went and bought the first set of toys which was very interesting the whole shopping and bartering is quite different. I can not wait to go give them to the children. love you all.

A night of no sleep!!!!

What a night, Sleep could not be found so much going through my mind so many emotions to deal with.

As we got off the airplane it was the middle of the night here, it had been a long flight we have now jumped 14 hours ahead of home. it is hard to rap your mind around that, that fact alone should have put me to sleep, but all i could do was think of all that I had seen, and all that was yet to be seen. Every where we looked nothing but poverty people and children wondering the street during the night looking for aplace to rest, my heart breaks for them. all along the streets of Hyderabad little fires are burning, and people huddled around them trying to take advantage of the warmth they offer. All I could think was we are truly spoiled and yet we want more.
God has been so good to us and we are not thankful.

Help us Father!!!!

We have made it safely to Hyderabad and are with Pastor Moses and his family.

Today is the Day.......Down to hours.

Well my friends today is the day in just a few hours we will be leaving port columbus and heading to India. I am so excited about all that God is going to do.

I can hardly blieve that it is now. For six months I kept talking about and praying about it, and now it is here I am so excited about the things that God is going to birth in 2009 and of course this is probably the biggest thing. No I am not limiting God I know He can do great and mighty things.

Remember to pray every day for me and Tim as we travel and minister. Pray for my plane ride today,I have never flown and I have trouble with my legs in tight places so I need God to take care of my kicky leggs as brother eddie likes to call it.I claim health and stregth for me and Tim to do all that God has called us to do. We will hit the ground running at 1:30am Tues Morn India time it will be Monday evening in the states. I will have access to email while I am there I will post to this blogg daily so please feel free to communicate.

Last Seven Day's

Well friends this is it we are down to the last week. I cant believe it seems like just yesterday we had five months to get ready and now we are about to go!!!! wow

I am so excited about all that God is going to do and all that we are going to be a part of as the God we serve begins to tear down the devils kingdom in so many peoples lives.

On Saturday the 3rd there will be a special prayer and praise and anointing service as we ask God to surround Tim and I as we embark on this great journey. The service will be at 6pm and I hope all of you will get to come.

17 Days and Counting!!!

We are down to the last seventeen days until we leave, almost all things are now finalized. We have our tickets and travel plans finished. We are getting excited about all that God is going to do while we are there!!! The devil has fought hard, but as always God gets the victory!!!!! Amen Remember we are praying for 10,000 souls to be saved Please join us in prayer.

Praise God for the Visas

Hello Friends,

I am excited to announce that the visas have arrived!!!! Praise the Lord!!!!
we will spend this week working with Pastor Moses and Pastor Babu, to complete and finalize are plans to leave on January the 4th. Please Pray. I also need you to be praying for my health as most of you know I have been very sick and I need a full healing touch from God to due all that He wants me to do in January.

Praying for Visas and Praying for Me!!!!

Dear Friends,

Please be praying as we send in our visa applications this is were there could be difficulty, they do not have to let us come. So pray that every where our paperwork goes the favor of God goes with it.

Praising God For Passports!!!!

Praise the Lord, they have arrived in less than a week. Yes we now have our US passports and we will be applying for our visas today. Please pray, this is were it gets sticky. The Indian government is under no obligation to give us an entry visa. So pray that God will give us favor quickly so we can get things finalized.

Finances to date.......

We have received around 4000.00 and know that God will supply the rest.

Praying for Passports......

Hello Friends,

Tim and I applied for our passports on Thursday.
please pray that they get them processed quickly we need them before we can apply for our travel visas for India. The visas our the ones that can be denied so please pray that God works it all out and quickly.....

Our Finances to date we have raised around 3200. Praise the Lord.

Hello Friends,

No I am not in India. I do not go until January. However I hear from those in India all of the time as they are praying, fasting, and preparing for our journey to their great land.
Pastor Moses and his father Pastor Babu both send their warmest greatings in the name of Jesus Christ. They wish to thank those who have adopted children every month and thank those who have given to make our journey to their country come to pass. I have posted some pictures of Pastor Babu and some of his people also some pictures from their last baptism. I am so excited I cant wait to get in that water and help baptize new believers as they begin this great journey of faith.

This will all be made possible by your faithful support.

Also do not forget that we need to start collecting toys for the children.

What a great Christmas it is going to be for them.

Orphans, Widows, And the Sick.....

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

We are one week closer and much to do. I often sit and think what it is going to be like to be apart of the greatest spiritual thing my eyes have ever seen. I have been in alot of great services, experienced God's manifested presence in a mighty way but I am convinced the best is yet to come. To think that He the God of the universe is going to allow me to be used of Him to touch the lives of thousands of people is mind blowing.

We need to be vigilant, in our praying and in our support of the work that is going on in India. Although you may not be able to go and see first hand you can have an eternal part in changing the lives of these God's children. That is what Jesus was saying when you help the least of these you have helped me. It is all about helping Him. You are helping Him with your monthly 25.00 and you are helping Him with every dollar you give to make this mission trip come to pass.

With every one that receives salvation, healing, deliverance, and their miricale we will be doing unto him. I don't know about you but that excites me.

Ouch!!!

Well Friends I am happy to report the process has begun. On Friday I received my first set of shots. I have three more sets to get. That is why I said ouch. I think sometimes we forget as adults just how painful that can be especially when you get into some of those bigger shots that have alot of medicine in them. It is all worth it though. the closer I get the more excited I am about the trip the more excited I get about the trip the more I expect out of God.

Pray for my family and Brother Tims family.

It is really starting to set in on Raygan that daddy is leaving and she is having a hard time. She told me on Sunday she was praying I would not raise enough money to go.

Pray that the money will come in we need it to buy the plane tickets we are only half way there.

Pray for the 10,000 souls we are believing God to save while we are in India.

Going Two by Two

Hello Friends God is so faithful in all that He does. I am pleased to announce that Brother Tim Rutherford will be going with me to help in India. I have known Tim since we were kids and am amazed that all those years ago when we were just doing our own thing together in school that God knew one day we would be doing this great thing together for God.

We need your prayers all though God has confimed it many times to both of us, we realize we can do nothing without Him.

As of right now we are at about the half way point on raising the money needed to go. Thank you to those who have given. If you have not given yet I hope you will make a gift to help us go and take the good news of Jesus to the nation of India.

Hearing from the children

I am getting more and more excited as we move closer and closer to this great opportunity that God has given us. Twice now the children from Bethany childrens Home, have called me to sing to me. What a blessing I can't wait to get there and hug their necks. Up to this point we are nearing the 2000.00 mark in raising the funds nedded. I hope that you will pray about giving to make sure this trip happens.

Join me in praying that God will secure the funds so we can get the Tickets purchased.

Well as most of you know God has blessed me with a great opportunity to go to India
to preach the Gospel. I am so excited!! only God and eternity will know what this means not only to me but the wonderful people of India.
